To support the smart contract upgrade of BGB as the native token of Morph, Bitget Onchain plans to conduct a token swap. Old BGB tokens (contract address: 0x55d1f1879969bdbB9960d269974564C58DBc3238) will be swapped at a 1:1 ratio for new BGB tokens (contract address: 0x389C08Bc23A7317000a1FD76c7c5B0cb0b4640b5 ).
Swap arrangement
Starting from 7:00 PM on February 4, 2026 (UTC+8), Bitget will suspend BGB Onchain trading on Morph and start to swap users' holdings (expected to take three working days). After the swap is completed, Bitget will no longer support Onchain trading of the old BGB tokens. Onchain trading of the new BGB tokens will be unaffected. Spot, futures, margin, and Convert trades of BGB remain unaffected.
Notes
-
This swap only affects BGB's Onchain trading on Morph. BGB spot, futures, margin, and Convert trades will remain unaffected.
-
Eligible users will receive new tokens in a 1:1 ratio to their old token balance. In other words, for each old token held, one new token will be issued.
-
To ensure a smooth token swap process, Bitget Onchain will suspend trading for the old BGB tokens (0x389C08Bc23A7317000a1FD76c7c5B0cb0b4640b5) on Morph starting from 7:00 PM on February 4, 2026 (UTC+8). After the swap is completed, Bitget will no longer support Onchain trading of the old BGB tokens.
